Anti Slip Decking Protection
Treatex Anti Slip Decking Protection is manufactured on a base of natural sustainable raw materials including Sunflower oil, Soybean oil and are free of toxic substances. It contains a polymer made from castor oil that provides the anti slip surface, which is biologically and organically inert, meaning that it does not bioaccumulate. It is perfect for use over Treatex Exterior oils to increase mechanical slip resistance,
Treatex Anti Slip Decking Protection has been designed to reduce the risk of slipping on exterior wooden surfaces which are susceptible to becoming slippery due to the accumilation of moisture, moss, algae and lychens.
Anti Slip Decking Protection should be applied over a UV protective finish for best results, such as Treatex Exteiror Oils.

Product Specs
Usage/coverage
Suitable for: External use
Recommended timbers: Suitable for use on most species of treated and untreated decking and other timbers
Applications: Decking, steps and exterior wooden walkways
2.5L will cover approximately 17.5m²-25m² in one coat depending on the wood type (rough, sawn, planed). In corrugated timber, consumption may double, due to the increase in surface area.
Preparation/Application
Preparation
Ensure the timber is dry and free from possible contaminates e.g. algae, grease, dirt, dust etc. We advise that when using Treatex Anti Slip Decking Protection, sufficient product is purchased to complete the whole project and when more than one tin is required it is advisable to mix them together before use. The timber must havea moisture content below 18% and the ambient temperature must be greater than 8c/<60% humidity during application and drying. Anti Slip Decking Protection has different effects on different surfaces. We strongly advise a trial coat. Anti Slip Decking Protection works best applied over another finish, such as Treatex Exterior oils but can be used on its own. Please note the finish may not last as long.
Application
Stir tins thoroughly, before and during use. Use a brush or roller to evenly apply Treatex Anti Slip Decking Protection, allowing approximately 100-165ml per m2. After approximately 8 - 12 hours (avoid moisture exposure during this time) the first coat can be overcoated if required. Apply with a brush or roller a second coat of Anti Slip Decking Protection, again allowing roughly 100-165ml per m2. After the second coat, leave for approximately 8-12 hours to dry. The surface can then be used after 24 hours of drying with care. Full hardness will be achieved after 10 days.
Tips
- Treatex brushes and rollers are available.
- Wet brushes and rollers can be cleaned with soap and water.
- Store tins in a cool and frost free environment. Unopened tins will last for three years. Once tins are opened, transfer contents to a smaller airtight container.
