For use on suspended timbers (not in contact with the ground).
Usage/Coverage
Suitable for: External use
Recommended timbers: Timbers susceptible to blue stain and mould
Applications: Doors, windows, fences, sheds etc. (not suitable for timbers that are in contact with the ground/water).
2.5L will cover approximately 4-6m² per litre, meaning 2.5L should cover roughly 10-15m²
Preparation
All previous finishes must be removed to provide a dry, porous and dust free surface. The timber must be sanded no finer than 120 grit. The timber must have a moisture content below 15% and the air humidity below 65% during the time of application. We strongly recommend a trial application is undertaken prior to application.
Application
Stir the contents thoroughly before and during use. Apply to all sides of the untreated wood by brush, roller, spray or by immersion. 1 litre will cover approximately 4 - 6 m2 per litre on planed and sawn timber. A lower application rate can reduce the effectiveness of the product. The product can take 24 hours to dry and must be protected from rain and excessive moisture during this time. The drying time is affected by the type of timber treated (because of certain timbers natural oils, density and ambient weather conditions). The timber must be protected by a suitable finish before being exposed to the weather in exterior conditions.
Tips
Treatex brushes and rollers are suitable for this product.
After removing all the excess product from the brushes and rollers, clean using warm water and soap.
